Introduction
We hope you enjoy reading this prospectus and that it it will give you a real sense of life at Rosemead.
The school was founded in 1942 and moved to present site in 1974. It was at this stage that parents took on the management of the school; the Thurlow Educational Trust was established soon afterwards . Rosemead is now the largest parent-governed school in the United Kingdom.
Rosemead is a happy caring school with a strong sense of community. The children and teachers work together, creating an invigorating environment, where a love of learning is fostered and the children learn to respect the needs of others. The school has high expectations of achievement and behaviour, and is a place where happy children grow in confidence and character; it is the sort of place where people cry when they leave, not when they arrive.
