With best wishes to everyone for the new term and for 2009.

Study Skills Workshop
3 Jan 2009 10:46PM
Well done to all the children who attended this morning's 'Study Skills Workshop'. They all focused very well and were certainly put through their paces by Mrs. Brown. They have gone away with some helpful reminders to prepare them for their remaining entrance examinations later this month. Once again, good luck to everyone.
Just remember RTQ and RTI!

(For those of you not there, RTQ = Read The Questions and RTI = Read The Instructions...!)
Student Council News
3 Jan 2009 6:40PM

The Student Council has organised 'Rosemead's Got Talent' at TPR for the first week of term. It will take place on the first Thursday morning, 15th January, during our assembly time. If we have a large number of participants, we will also use Friday morning's assembly time.

Anyboby wishing to take part will be charged 50 pence, which will go towards the Student Council. Each act will have two minutes to perform. As all children will be in the Hall to watch, we will not be charging audience members.
The performances will be judged by a select panel of Student Council members and staff.
We are looking forward to seeing some ridiculously good Rosemead talent... Get your thinking caps on – it's time to perform!
Spring Term Menus
1 Jan 2009 5:53PM

The menus for Elmcourt and Thurlow Park Road are now available to view via the 'Menu' tab under 'Quick Links'.
Last term, the Student Council members began reviewing the school menus at TPR and EC, and met with Mrs. Lambton to discuss their views and suggestions. Although Mrs. Lambton and her team are not able to accommodate the more 'exotic' requests, some will be appearing on the menu over the next term.

Thank you to Mrs. Lambton for meeting with the year 6 children at the end of last term. The Student Council Class Representatives will be meeting with their classes to discuss menus during the first few weeks of term.
Calendar for Spring Term
1 Jan 2009 5:27PM
The calendar for the coming term is available via the 'Calendar' tab under 'Quick Links'. Please browse through it, if you have not yet done so, to see what we have planned for January to the end of March.

We would like to remind all parents that, when your child is performing in their class assembly, you are invited to attend.
Please note we have made a correction for assembly start times at TPR — this is 8.55am, not 9.00am.
If we have any additions to make to the calendar, you will be notified of these via the PP.
