During the next week, we will be updating the website. We will be making changes to the following areas:
– the clubs list,

– the PP by adding photos of the Easter Bonnet Parade.
We will advise you via the PP when each of these changes has been made.
We hope you are all enjoying your holiday, wherever you may be!

Last Saturday was the U11 National Counties Zonal qualifying event. Both Hector and Raphael were representing Kent. The event comprised of teams of 24 players. Raphael played board 2 and scored 2½ out of 3 and Hector played board 8 and scored 3 out of 3. Kent finished first beating last year’s national champions Barnet convincingly into second place. Well done to Hector and Raphael who will be representing Kent in the national finals in a few months time.
Angharad J. played in the Kent U9's squad on March 14th in Nottingham and the team came 2nd. She and Alannah A. are playing in the Kent Girls U11 on the 28th in Bolton so best of luck to both of them.
End of term letter
27 Mar 2009 2:33PM

Dear Parents,
As I sit here, the School is unusually quiet, especially after the wonderful Easter Bonnet parades earlier in the day. Photographic memories will soon be appearing on the website for you to view of this colourful and creative event. Now only a small number of staff remain in the building as most of you have left to start the Easter holiday.
Our end of term assembly was one of mixed emotions as we came together to celebrate the successes and say our goodbyes to two of our pupils and staff. Zac at TPR and Joshua at EC leave us to move to the country, and both Mr Edwards and Miss Wilkinson will soon be moving back to Australia. We wish all of them every happiness in their new homes and schools, and trust that they will keep in touch.
As we say goodbye to the teachers, we also want to express our thanks for all that they have brought to the school during their tenure at Rosemead. Miss Wilkinson leaves us after four and half years and she will be greatly missed by both the children and the staff. We are grateful to Mr Edwards for staying on beyond the summer term and taking a class on into year 4.
Celebrations included news of senior school destinations for year 6 pupils, some merits and the all important house point totals (well done Tudor!). We also sent best wishes, via Miss Wilkinson, to Miss Ansell who is getting married this Saturday.
I wish you all a very peaceful and enjoyable Easter holiday and look forward to seeing a number of you when I join the skiers in Arosa next week. (I notice that my arrival will be just in time for the disco so will be ready to join in the fun right from the start!)
Best wishes,
Mrs Brown and Mrs Sherwood

Rosemead Football & Netball Seasons Finish off Strongly
It’s been an incredibly busy season for all our footballers and netballers this year, and the season finished off as strong as ever. We had two year 3&4 football teams acquit themselves excellently against Oakfield on Monday afternoon. Both matches were very close, and really could have swung either way, but we were unlucky to narrowly lose both games.

Then on Thursday our year 6 netball team had their last ever Rosemead netball fixture at an excellent tournament at Royal Russell School. The standard was very high, and our girls were no exception to that. They produced some of the finest netball we’ve seen all year and played extremely well, finishing up in 4th place overall.
A huge well done to all the girls and boys who have played and trained really well all season. We have continued to strive forward, and have improved greatly throughout the year. We look forward to further successes in our summer sports next term!
Bike Training Summer Term
27 Mar 2009 2:10PM
Dear year 6 parents,
I have been asked by the Cycling Training UK to cancel the bike doctor which was to be held on 20th April. They will still need to bring their bikes in to be checked, however, this will now take place in the half hour before your 1st lesson.
This should actually make life easier for everyone involved. We may be able to have a bike doctoring session for the community later in the term. I will keep you posted.
I will inform you and your child when their day and time will be, as soon as I have sorted out the details. This will be no later than Wednesday 22nd April, 2 days after we return, but may be even sooner.
I trust that this is all right and thank you for your swift responses and support.
Yours sincerely,
Tim Harrison – PE Teacher
Lost Property

Mya S. (year 1) has lost her blazer. She lost it after a ballet session at TPR. Could all parents who have children attending the same ballet session please check at home to see that they do not have Mya's blazer at home?
Many thanks.
