Sports Clubs - Correction
15 Jan 2010 11:11AM
Please note the corrections to the sports clubs list that went home this week:
There is still one swim squad, which is held at Crystal Palace on a Thursday after school, 3.45-4.30pm. This is by invitation and children from year 2 to year 6 may be invited.
Netball club for year 5 and 6 is on a Tuesday morning before school from 8.00 to 8.30am.
We would like to apologise for any confusion caused. Please rest assured that you do not need to resend amended slips for these clubs.
The sports team will be posting the complete list of sports clubs and members this morning. Children are asked to check these lists as soon as possible.
Many thanks.
Staff News
15 Jan 2010 10:57AM

Mrs. Lock sent us a text message this morning to say that, just after midnight, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She is feeling well and hoping to go home today.
Mrs. Brown made an announcement in assembly this morning, to the delight of the children!
Weather - Update
13 Jan 2010 8:27PM

We would like to remind all parents that children are encouraged to wear tracksuit bottoms in this cold weather. As it has been so cold, the children have been continuing to wear them throughout the day. We will be inviting the children to do this for as long as this particularly cold weather remains with us.
We would also like to remind those parents who are not sending in cold/wet weather footwear that this is essential if all children are to have the opportunity to enjoy the snow. As we all know, the children love playing in the snow and, whenever it is safe do do so, we will allow it for those with appropriate footwear.
Thank you.
Governors' Meeting - Postponed
13 Jan 2010 1:44PM

Owing to the adverse weather, tonight's Board Meeting has been postponed until next Wednesday, 20th January.
Kids City - Update
13 Jan 2010 9:40AM
Kids City will be running today as usual.
Rosemead - End Of Day Update
13 Jan 2010 9:36AM
There will be no ballet today owing to the weather. School will therefore finish for all at the usual school ending time:
3.15 - Nursery;
3.20 - Reception;
3.25 - Years 1 and 2;
3.35 - Years 3 to 6.
After the 3.35pm pick up there should be no children remaining in school.
Should you be coming from work to pick up your child and find you are having difficulties, please ring to let us know as soon as possible on 020 8670 5865.
Alternatively, should you have concerns about getting your child home safely, and wish to pick up earlier than usual this afternoon, again, please let us know.
We are finding out about Kids City and will let you know later whether it will be running or not.
Rosemead Is Open
13 Jan 2010 7:38AM
We wish to confirm that Rosemead is open today, regardless of heavy snow falls overnight. Do remember, however, to send in your children with wellingtons or other appropriate outdoor shoes, as well as their full winter uniform. Thank you.
Welcome Back
10 Jan 2010 10:27PM
We would like to reassure all parents that Rosemead will be open on Monday, 11th January, regardless of weather conditions. Staff have been back at work since last Wednesday and almost all staff have been able to get to school despite the snow.
Please do remember to send your children to school in full winter uniform. Also, during this particularly cold spell, children may wear tracksuit bottoms for their journey to and from school, as well as at break times.
We hope you have all had a good break and look forward to seeing you in the morning.
Feet First Swim School
10 Jan 2010 4:02PM

Owing to the late swimming gala that has been arranged by DCPS, there will be no after school swimming on Wednesday, 13th January. Lessons will now commence on Wednesday, 20th January.
