Art Through ICT Club
20 Jan 2010 2:58PM

As you may be aware, Mrs. Kastoryano has been absent from school this week. It is for this reason that those children who have applied to her 'Art Through ICT' club have not yet been informed whether they have been successful in securing a place. Once Mrs. Kastoryano returns to school, which we hope will be next week, she will speak to the children involved to let them know.
Many thanks for your understanding.
Coin Curl - Haiti Earthquake Appeal
20 Jan 2010 1:55PM

Many thanks to everyone who brought coins to Rosemead today for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. Huge numbers of coins have been brought in at both EC and TPR. Our next task is to count up all the coins to find the overall total.
On this note, we are going to run a competition at TPR, so that the children can practise their estimating skills. We would like the children to tell us how much money they think has been raised at TPR today. To assist (or possibly not!) we have taken a picture of the money after the last coin - in fact it was a £5 - was added to the curl. We would like the children to write their estimates on paper, then hand these to Mrs. Sherwood. We will allow one estimate per child.
The overall totals for both sites will be announced next week, as well as the name of the child with the closest figure to the TPR total.
A number of children told us this morning that they had forgotten to bring in their coins. Therefore, any children who would like to bring coins to school during the remainder of this week may do so. Their coins will be added to the overall total, but will not count for the competition. Any further donations should be handed to Mrs. Bright in the Finance Office.
Once again, many thanks for your support for this appeal.
Coin Curl - Haiti Earthquake Appeal
19 Jan 2010 3:30PM

Tomorrow, Wednesday, 19th January, we will be having a coin curl at Rosemead to raise money for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal.
The children at EC and TPR were spoken to on Monday and asked to bring in ten coins each. The children may bring in coins of any amount: 1p to £1.
Tomorrow, the children will be asked to place these coins on the floor of their respective halls to create a huge coin curl. The money brought in will then be added up and sent off to the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. We are very appreciative of any amount you can send in with your child/ren, and will inform you, within the next few days, how much money has been raised.
Thank you very much for your support.

Sports Clubs - Correction
15 Jan 2010 11:11AM
Please note the corrections to the sports clubs list that went home this week:
There is still one swim squad, which is held at Crystal Palace on a Thursday after school, 3.45-4.30pm. This is by invitation and children from year 2 to year 6 may be invited.
Netball club for year 5 and 6 is on a Tuesday morning before school from 8.00 to 8.30am.
We would like to apologise for any confusion caused. Please rest assured that you do not need to resend amended slips for these clubs.
The sports team will be posting the complete list of sports clubs and members this morning. Children are asked to check these lists as soon as possible.
Many thanks.
