Haiti Earthquake Appeal

Dulwich Table Top Sale for Haiti Appeal
It seems that preparations for the *table top sale* are going very well. We have, however, been asked for donations of cakes on the day itself (Sunday, 8th February). Martha Jones, of the RSA has suggested that parents baking for Rosemead's cake sale on Monday might like to double up on baking quantities...?
Sunday's sale is also in need of volunteers to help out with selling. Should you be able to assist in this, please email Martha Jones. Volunteers between 4.00 and 6.00pm would be particularly welcome.
Finally, should you have links with a charity which may like any left over items from the sale, please contact Hillary Peachy on 07917 688373/020 77377347 or Bert Suer on 07901 855545.

Haiti Earthquake Appeal
30 Jan 2010 8:25AM

Coin Curl
As you will recall, we asked all the children at EC and TPR to bring in ten coins to create a 'coin curl' as Rosemead's fundraising effort for the Haiti earthquake appeal. Yesterday at assembly we announced the winner of our competition in which we invited the children to estimate how much money we had in our TPR curl. We had many entries, with several children getting very close indeed to the actual amount. On the day of the coin curl, we raised £555.45 at TPR. These were the two runners-up:
Freya O. (Y5) - £543.33 and Tom H. (Y6) - £550
The winner, who narrowly beat them to the prize, was Tom A. (Y3), with his estimate of £560. Well done to all who entered and congratulations to Tom A., Tom H. and Freya O. for getting so close.
The total raised at EC was £420, so that, added to late donations has made a superb total of £1000.
Mrs. Bright sent off the money to the Disasters Emergency Committee and we have received an email of appreciation from them, so once again, many thanks to everyone for participating.
Dulwich Table Top Sale for Haiti Appeal
We have also received a request from a parent at Rosemead to advertise a further fundraising appeal for Haiti. This is an event in which many local schools are involved and is taking place in Dulwich next Sunday. For information on this please click *here*.
