Visit from the Easter Bunny!
19 Mar 2010 5:17PM

Just a quick note to reassure all parents that the eggs the Easter Bunny will be delivering to Rosemead are from Kinnerton, and carry their 'nut safety' promise. They do, however, contain cow's milk and soya.

Rosemead Summer Raffle - Prizes Needed!
We know it’s not Easter yet... but we’ve already started planning for the summer fair (12th June) and, in particular, we’re on the hunt for some prizes for our summer raffle – one of our biggest fundraisers.
This year, the proceeds will be split between the RSA (to fund some more interactive whiteboards) and the Joint Educational Trust (JET). JET helps children, who’ve suffered seriously in some way, to make a fresh start by enabling them to attend an independent or state boarding school.
If you or your company are willing to donate a prize, it would be greatly appreciated! In the past, we’ve had everything from a laptop to an iPod and from bottles of wine to free places on children’s holiday courses. Smaller prizes like vouchers, a box of chocolates, new CDs, DVDs or toiletries are also very popular.
Where relevant, we’ll publicise the company or product by including information on the raffle flyer (with the top three prizes also listed on the tickets). We’ll be getting the tickets printed in early May, so if you have something you could donate, please let Emma Jones know (Mum of Ruby, 3G and Tabitha, N) asap (and by the end of April at the latest) – T: 07967 325782, E: ec_jones@yahoo.co.uk. Thank you!

Student Council News
14 Mar 2010 6:50PM
Please note that the 'D-Day II' event this Friday, organised by the Student Council, whereby the children are invited to come to school in denim jeans/skirts, is for the children at TPR only. This is owing to the fact that the reception classes are out on a trip on that day, there is a parent assembly and assessments will be taking place for new children. We will look at arranging an alternative date on a more suitable day for EC next term.

Usborne Sponsored Read
We hope you have all enjoyed taking part in the Usborne Sponsored Read. All money raised will be spent buying brand new books for our school. In addition, Usborne will donate an extra 60% of the total in EXTRA FREE BOOKS to the school (if we raise £500). This will help to restock both classroom book corners and our library.
Please send the sponsorship money your child has raised to the school along with their reading log in a sealed envelope with their name and class marked on the front. Cheques should be made payable to mylittleyellowduck. Please do this by Friday 19 March 2010.
When we have collected all the money, we'll let you know how much we've raised.
